I have never stopped loving dolls. I became aware of Art Dolls a decade ago and haven't looked back. I am thrilled to use many creative skills I have learned in the past , as well as the continuing education needed in this adventure.
I sculpt my dolls from prosculpt and paper clay. Jointed arms,legs,and heads similar to antique porcelain dolls.Some 10" dolls soft body with plastic armature that bend at knees and elbow. I use german glass eyes and mohair wigs, natural and vintage fabrics, silk velvets, antique lace.
I create the patterns and sew my own period clothes for the dolls. I also make the leather shoes, mohair wigs and hats.
Most dolls these outfits are removable.
I use to oil paint the Master paintings of The Impressionist period. This was an inspiration which carried over to my now OOAK Character dolls of the 1800's.
I enjoy sculpting my renditions of the German and French character dolls of that period. Also, to create portrait dolls from old photos of the past, or inspired from characters and children from my favorite Impressionist and other master paintings. All my dolls are the #1 artist original sculpture no molds made.

Sculpted the boy, then found a resemblance of a boy from an old painting by an artist of the 1800's , Albert Anker from Switzerland.
My first oil was from an old Calendar picture I copied, now I discovered who the artist was. Those children from that painting will be made this year. I love the children he portrays.
